Red lipsticks… the ultimate festive makeup product. I only seem to gravitate towards this colour during Christmas so I don’t exactly have the biggest collection of red lipsticks, but I have acquired a few over the years which I’d like to share with you.
So in no particular order, here are my top three!
Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Beau Brun (£8.99)
I know, I’ve already talked about Beau Brun before (in my Berry Lipsticks post, if you want to check it out)! But I’ve really been loving it lately. It’s a really nice everyday reddish colour that’s very comfortable to wear.
I especially like the applicator; very soft and it applies evenly. This one dries matte, so it’s a good idea to wear a lip balm under or maybe even over it.
MAC Lipstick in Brick-o-La (£15.50)
Whilst I’m not the biggest fan of MAC, I do really like this lipstick. Brick-o-La is a very soft and subtle shade of red; perfect for autumn and winter. It’s not a matte lipstick which means its not drying, and it’ll stay on the lips for a couple of hours too. Very pretty shade!
Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Lipstick in 001 (£5.49)
#001 is the deepest and richest of red lipsticks out of the three. This one is good for a night out, or when you’re going for that classic black cat-eye and red lips look. I’ve been using Kate lipsticks for years; they’re creamy and are pretty comfortable to wear!

Oh yeah, that one’s a classic! I do own Ruby Woo as well but I don’t wear it nearly as much as I should, it’s just so drying on me! xo

Thank you! Reds are great, when I’m not in the mood to do my hair properly or if my makeup isn’t that great, I just slap on some red lipstick and boom, I’m good to go! xo
