Birmingham’s German Market. // Blogmas Day 17 ❄

Who doesn’t love a trip to a German market during this time of year? It’s certainly one of the easiest ways to get yourself into the festive spirit with all of the cute stalls, yummy foods and twinkling lights.

I haven’t been to many German markets but the one in Birmingham has been a favourite of mine for a number of years. I haven’t found the time to go there this year (sob) but I can still reminisce. I thought I’d share a few nice pictures from my past visits just to prove how pretty and festive it is.

Excuse the slight blurriness of the photo, but it sort of creates a nice, vintagey effect right?

It’s not just stalls there; you can go ice-skating too! Nothing more festive than ice-skating followed by a marshmallowy hot chocolate.

Or you can go for a ride on the ferris wheel, a.k.a. a good way to spot the next food stall that you want to try.

And a generic shot of Birmingham just for the sake of it. I really like coming to the German market in the late afternoon/evening because that’s when it really pops.
